Note: Minors travelling to or from Argentina, if
unaccompanied by their parents, must carry their parents' or other legal
guardian's authorisation to travel, which must be certified by an Argentine
Consul if issued abroad. Fines will be levied if passengers do not comply with

Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) visas:
The ETA is an invisible electronic visa there is no need to complete an
application form and no visa label will be placed in the passport. An ETA is
suitable for tourist or business visits and allows multiple entries to
Australia for a stay of up to 3 months on each entry.
ETAs can be obtained from authorised travel agents (most travel agents in the
UK can issue them) and airlines or by telephone through BP Travel Trade (tel:
(01233) 211 800). ETAs are also available from Australian Embassies, High
Commissions and Consulates, but travellers should note that long queues and
processing delays may be experienced at those outlets if applying in person.
To check which travel agents and airlines are authorised to issue ETAs,
travellers should contact their travel agent or BP Travel Trade Services.

can submit travellers cheques, a confirmed hotel booking, bank statements or
records from a similar financial institution.
(i) *An all risk medical insurance policy covering duration of visa.
(j) Postal applicants should enclose a self-addressed, prepaid envelope
(registered or recorded delivery) for the return of the passport.
Note*: The requirements (h) and (i) do not apply
to those visiting Austria on business, to attend a conference, or for a
sporting or cultural event, providing they are able to present either:
(a) An invitation from an Austrian institution or Austrian-based company
declaring a willingness to give guarantees to cover all financial costs of the
applicant whilst in Austria.

within 2 working days. The processing of certain applications (including
postal) may take up to 4 weeks. A self-addressed envelope (preferably

A uniform type of visa, the Schengen visa,
is issued for tourist, business and private visits.
Short-stay: £14.80 for 1-30 days and £17.70 for 31-90 days
(single-entry); £20.70 (double- or multiple- entry);

for touristic purposes only. All those travelling on business do need a visa
(except nationals of the UK who will be granted an appropriate business visa
on arrival, provided holding a return or onward ticket and proof of sufficient
funds to cover duration of stay. The length of stay permitted is normally up
to 90 days but can be extended to a maximum of 180 days). (b) All travellers
must be in possession of onward or return tickets and sufficient funds to
cover their stay.

Comment:
Persons under 18 years of age when not
accompanied by both parents must have a birth certificate (an original or
photocopy). This must be in Portuguese, English, Spanish or French, otherwise
an official translation must be presented as well. When travelling alone or
with one parent, a declaration from the absent parent(s) must be presented
authorising the journey and giving the name and address of the person in
Brazil who will be responsible for the minor. In the case of divorced or
deceased parents, papers attesting to full custody must be presented.
Restricted entry: Holders of passports issued by Central
African Republic, Comoros, Korea (DPR) and Taiwan will not be allowed entry to
Brazil unless they are holding a Laissez-Passer issued by the Brazilian

The Government of Canada refuses admission to holders of passports, identity
or travel documents issued by Bophuthatswana, Ciskei, Transkei, Venda or the
Palestine government.

Visa validity is normally 3 months from
date of issue, but depends on the duration of the package tour or individual
stay. The validity of Business visas varies. Transit visas are generally valid

Comment:
a)The majority of visits to China tend to
be organised through the official state travel agency CITS (China
International Travel Service). This liaison with CITS is generally handled by
the tour operator organising the inclusive holiday chosen by the visitor,
though it is possible for individuals to organise their own itinerary. Once
the tour itinerary details have been confirmed to the visitor or visiting
group, finances to cover accommodation and the cost of the tour must be
deposited with CITS through a home bank. Evidence of the payment of funds for
the tour must be presented to CITS officials on arrival. Once again, for
package trips, all the necessary formalities for a visit to China can be
handled by the tour operator concerned.
(b) Those wishing to visit Tibet are strongly advised to join a travel group.
Individual travellers need a special permit and should obtain permission to
visit Tibet from the following organisation before applying for a visa: Tibet

MEXICO
Who requires a visa?
TOURIST CARD
Available only
to people entering Mexico on holiday, for reasons of health, or to engage in
scientific, artistic or sporting activities which are neither remunerative nor
lucrative. Valid for the holder only.
Other persons (including minors) travelling on the same passport must have
their own card. The card is a single-entry document and is issued free of
charge. The Consular office retains the right to request further evidence of
the applicant's intention to visit Mexico as a tourist whenever such intention
has not been established to the Consul's satisfaction.
The same right applies with regard to evidence of the applicant's financial
means to sustain him/herself while in Mexico.
Note:
(a) Visitors eligible for Tourist Cards (see below) can be issued with Tourist
Cards by any Mexican Consulate, on board the plane or at the point of entry in

(b) Tourist Cards must be kept by the visitor during the entire length of stay

charge to the spouse and children of an EU national, upon presentation of the
original marriage certificate and a valid EU passport. For children, original
